Tourism Organization

One of the country's fastest-growing convention and tourism destinations needed a comprehensive business plan to align its organization and communicate its strategy under new leadership. The challenge wasn't a lack of data: the organization was research-driven, tracking everything from national tourism trends and hotel room revenue growth to supply-and-demand dynamics in both conventional lodging and short-term rentals, convention booking lead times, economic impact per event, and competitive positioning against major U.S. convention markets. The challenge was bringing that picture together into a single, coherent plan that connected the numbers to the mission and gave every department a clear line of sight to the organization's goals.

I assembled the business plan across the full scope of the organization: from the macroeconomic and market analysis (including visitor spending, hotel occupancy trends, RevPAR comparisons, and projected room night demand) to the strategic goals of each department, including convention sales, destination services, sports commission, marketing, and visitor experience. The result was a plan that wove research, strategy, and operational goals into one readable document the organization could put in front of its board, its city funders, and its team.
